What is Forward Facing Sonar (FFS)? 

MEGA Live 2 forward-facing sonar (FFS) is an advanced sonar that provides real-time, live sonar returns of the underwater world that allows you to quickly see your bait, fish and structure in live action. Traditional sonar provides a historical view of what’s beneath (2D & Down Imaging) and out to the sides (Side Imaging) of your boat, but MEGA Live 2 forward facing sonar allows you to point the sonar in a specific direction and view real-time sonar in the direction that you’re pointing the transducer.

FFS comes in three different view modes: Forward, Down and Landscape modes. Forward mode is typically the most commonly used by anglers as it allows you to view your target (fish or structure) out away from your boat. While there are different ways to mount the transducer, most anglers mount them to a trolling motor shaft.
