The Best Way to Reheat Fish [Air Fryer and Oven]
We all look forward to a nice Friday night fish fry or seafood dinner, but when it comes to reheating those leftovers the next day the last thing we want is that delicious meal turning into a mushy, less than appetizing meal.
In this short article, we’re going to make sure that you never pass on taking leftover fish from a restaurant or a family fish fry by showing you two of the best ways to reheat fish.
How to Reheat a Fish Fry in an Air Fryer
Air fryers are becoming a staple of most kitchens and they make a great tool for quickly reheating your fish and chips!
Instructions:
- Prep: Take your leftover fish and place them evenly in your air fryer basket.
- Fries: If you have leftover french fries, toss them in with the fish in an even layer, but you may need to pull them out a little bit sooner.
- Set your air fryer to the “reheat” setting.
- Temperature: 325 to 350 degrees
- Time: 6-7 min (Flip after 4 minutes)
- Flip the Fish & Remove Fries: After 4 minutes, flip your fish over to reheat the other side evenly. This is a good time to check your fries and remove them if they are beginning to get too brown. Typically 4-5 min is good enough to reheat fries.
It’s that simple and quick, now enjoy your crispy leftovers.
How to Reheat a Fish Fry in the Oven
If you do not have an air fryer, no worries, you can get a similar result by baking your leftovers in a conventional oven.
Instructions:
- Temperature: Preheat your oven to 350F
- Prep: While you wait, evenly place the pieces of fish (and fries) in an even layer on a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Time: Once your oven is preheated, insert the baking sheet and cook for 14-18min.
- Flip the Fish: Check them halfway through and flip your fish (and fries) over to reheat the other side evenly.
Your fish fry will be completely reheated when the internal temperature reaches about 145F.
